DIY choker necklace

Hello everyone. How are you guys doing?

I just found some free time between my exams so I decided to make a diy post. This post is about some simple diy choker necklace for you guys. They are easy and can be made through the materials available at home.

Collect all the materials which you don’t use like old tshirt or old chain with beads which you don’t wear any more and many more accessories which you don’t use and start creating the chokers. Here I’ll tell you how I did mine so that you guys will get some idea to make your own chokers.

1. The plain black choker:

This choker can be done by everyone. All you need to do is find some basic stuff at home.Things you need are

An old black tshit or cotton top.

An elastic of the size of your neck.

Needle and tread to stitch.

First cut a piece of the tshirt in the size of your head so that it goes in through your head.

Stitch the ends of the black stripes which you’ve cut and revert it.

Now insert an elastic of the size of your nec the strip which you’ve reverted and stitch the ends.

You’re black must have choker is ready now. Wear it with any normal t-shirt or top and rock the outfit.

2. Black choker with a Statement piece:

Similar to the first choker repeat all the steps. Things you need are

An old black tshit or cotton top.

An elastic of the size of your neck.

Needle and tread to stitch.

A statement piece, it can be anything but here I’ve taken it from one of my old neck piece.

First cut a piece of the tshirt in the size of your head so that it goes in through your head. Stitch the ends of the black stripes which you’ve cut and revert it. Now insert an elastic of the size of your neck inside the strip which you’ve reverted and before stitching the ends I inserted the statement piece inside the strip and then I stitched the ends.

The black choker with a statement piece is ready. It can be worn with a dress or a top. It can be used for parties, brunch or even a casual date.

3. Layered chain choker:

This is a layered choker. All I’ve used here is an old chain which had a hook at it ends a white satin tape which is optional and tread and needle to stitch them. I love the way this choker turned out. Here are the steps to follow

First arrange the layers as per the size of the layer and keep the satin ribbon as base to it.

Stitch the layers with a needle and thread on both the ends of the satin ribbon according to how the layers were planned. Attach the hook so that it can be worn.

The layered choker is ready you can keep the satin ribbon or not keep it depending on your choice. Wear it with a party wear and it’ll look amazing.

4. Choker with beads:

To make this choker collect some beads of any choice. These steps you have to follow,

Cut a thin strip from an old tshirt and pull the ends so that it forms a thick thread like structure. See to that you’ll be able to tie the strip to your neck.

Get some beeds and stitch it to the strip. I’ve made two layers as I was confused in selecting the beeds but you can stop it with one layer.

This is the choker with beads it can be worn with fusion outfits or even normal t-shirts.

5. The denim choker:

This is my favourite among all of them. I always keep talking about how much I love denim so I wanted to make a choker with it too. The things you need are

Denim patch of the size of your neck.

A thick black thread.

Needle and tread to stitch.

First cut a piece of denim which is the size of your neck from your old jeans or waste material from the jeans you converted into shorts.

Stitch the cut side of the denim with thead and needle. Now stitch the ends on the denim strip and insert a thick black thread from both the ends.

Once you put the choker on your neck tie the thread. This can be worn with literally anything as it is made of denim.

So these are the five different chokers I made. Let me know which was your favourite.

Do try to make them or create your own chokers and tag me in your pictures if you make it (Instagram- thevoguewanderer).
